As at 31 January 2010, 31 Australian SIFE teams had responded to the Campbell's Let's Can Hunger Challenge and 10 had completed the formal registration requirements.

Campbell's LCH Challenge provides a great opportunity to gain recognition and sustainable funding for your team's projects, while helping tackle a growing epidemic.

Both SIFE and Campbell encourage the collection of Campbell products in recognition of their sponsorship, however all non-perishable products edible for human consumption will be recognised without distinction.

Campbell uses the ratio 1:1:1 from items to pounds to dollars. This means that every item your team collects counts as 1 pound. Please use the conversion formula: kg x 2.2 = pounds, in reporting your team's measurements.

The Challenge is for SIFE teams worldwide to collect 750,000 pounds of non-perishable food. Australia's contribution has been set at 63,750 pounds or items, but we should try to better that. Teams are encouraged to set a goal to contribute 5,000 or more pounds to this effort and will receive special recognition at Nationals.

To emphasise the importance of SIFE's newest Global Strategic Partnership, all Australian SIFE teams participating in the 2010 National Championships will be expected to report some response.
