SIFE students recruit their own team members, set up their own roles and responsibilities, decide their own projects, implement them in the community and finally each year present them to panels of judges from businesses around Australia
They acquire communication, project management, and teamwork, initiative, problem-solving, flexibility, time management, analytical and computer skills - through their projects carried out in their own time over and above their curriculum.
Each team has a Business Advisory Board whose members are comprised of a group of locally-located business leaders. Participation on the Board provides supporters with networking, mentoring and project opportunities above and beyond those provided through traditional learning and development programs.
